Alti Ustu Istanbul

The Turkish series *It’s Just Istanbul* tells the story of a remarkable place—a neighborhood called Ziyanker—that is far removed from Adana and cut off from the rest of Istanbul. Every resident here carries the burden of a difficult past; no one ends up in Ziyanker by accident, as it is not a place one simply stumbles into. The protagonists—lifelong residents of Ziyanker—understand the true nature of life in the neighborhood better than anyone. Yet, this reality must remain a closely guarded secret, or dire consequences await them all.

Graffiti adorns the walls on nearly every corner of Ziyanker, all of it dedicated to the homeland. The residents are true patriots; they long for their homeland and are ready to sacrifice everything for it. Most live in poverty, barely scraping by, yet they have grown accustomed to this existence. They genuinely love and cherish their lives, striving for happiness and fighting to ensure that the grind of daily routine and financial hardship does not consume them or steal away their lives entirely.

The people of Ziyanker battled against fate, believing things couldn't possibly get any worse. Then, one day, uninvited guests arrived in their neighborhood. Luxury cars flooded the streets—a rare sight in Ziyanker—drawing residents out of their homes to see what was happening. It turned out that a wealthy family had arrived, intent on seizing control of the neighborhood and establishing their dominance. However, these newcomers—who have never known want or poverty—are ignorant of Ziyanker’s unwritten rules. They have no idea what this confrontation might cost them.
